POORBOY'S BEAGLES

    I have had beagles since my childhood. I killed my first rabbit in front of a pack of beagles in 1980 at the age of ten years old. I guess I have been obsessed with beagles ever since. In 2007, my nephew Brian Martin and I decided to team up to establish a kennel to ensure that we would have quality hounds to hunt with for years to come.

    While we love the history of the Blackcreeks/Skullforks, we realize that there are multiple kennels that have impacted the hounds of today. Therfore, while we often describe our beagles as Blackcreek/Skullfork influenced, we in no way believe that a pure Blackcreek/Skullfork exist today.

We work closely with local beaglers in an effort to maintain a strong gene pool. These friends are an important part of our longterm breeding program. Every year we feel that our breeding program becomes stronger.
